#53 Should Women Wear Heels In The Office

The Do and Dont’s of Heels in the Office

Obviously, every workplace is different. The Devil Wears Prada heels is my favorite movie and one of the scenes I love the most is when the main character gets a makeover and prances into the office wearing thigh-high Chanel boots.

This is a must-read for those who want to improve their public speaking skills, whether they are delivering presentations, answering questions in meetings, or simply trying to sell themselves in business settings.

That outfit was so appropriate for work at a fashion magazine like the one in the movie.

heel

If you want to look your best when attending a business event, here are a few dos and don’ts to keep in mind. You’ll have to use your own experience and knowledge of your office culture and how conservative or liberal the dress code is when deciding on footwear.

For any kind of office, this pair of heels will do the trick and allow you to make a great first impression. It’s important to use this advice when making decisions about the grey area between these two and understanding the lines you should never cross.

Content

Ankle Boots

It’s the most desirable time to wear these because they’re especially warm. I only wear ankle boots when I’m in a business-professional setting, and only with trousers or skirts. The ankle boot and skirt look is very difficult to pull off, especially if you’re wearing a work dress or skirt.

heel

Don’t Anything that Stretches To or Over the Knee

Thigh-high boots look great when you have them on – but when you take them off? That’s another story. They’ll catch your heel on every step. You’re a bit too tall for a do, but not quite tall enough for a don’t. You should get a calf-height boot.

Be selective about wearing these to the office. Ankle boots are a style statement but they’re best used in a business casual environment. Wear them when you want to look like a professional.

heel

Here’s an example of a business-casual look that looks great, and I’m wearing high-heeled boots with a midi-length a-line skirt. In this outfit, however, you would probably have to take your clothes off.

Keep the Height Around Two to Three Inches

I usually wear them around six inch heels, like these ones. There are other examples of shoes, too, that can change your look and make a statement.

It is essential that journalists covering the fashion industry wear heels, so that we look presentable, elegant and classy, and not like clowns who have been given a shoe-lotion by their mother.

heel

There are many shoes you can buy, all of which are well-cushioned and comfortable. Buy a good pair and make sure they’re the right size. Anywhere else, as long as you can walk in them, wear them.

Experiment with Patterns More Than Colors

These are my favorite shoes right now. They have a comfortable and stylish design, and I love the color combination of the tweed and leather. These patterns have some serious depth and are appropriate for work because they’re black and white.

heel

These same shoes in a bright yellow or neon pink are not appropriate for my law firm job. When trying to match two colors that are close together, it’s helpful to have something in between to balance the design.

Depending on the situation, both patterns and colors work well. You might need to experiment with different choices to see what you think will work best in each situation.

Wear Chunky Heels

It’s easy to walk in because they are so comfortable. If you don’t have a pair already, you’re missing something.

heel

Don’t Wear Shoes with a Platform

Aside from the clunky shoe, these Jessica Simpson heels aren’t appropriate because of the platform. They look good and make you taller, but they’re not for everyday wear.

heel

Women should always wear comfortable shoes to work. Avoid wearing shoes that have platforms or other heights of more than half an inch, because your feet will likely start hurting if you’re walking in them all day.

Don’t Wear Anything with Any Sparkle on It

No rhinestones or sparkly things of any kind are allowed for work, including on pumps. If you don’t believe me, go ahead and try it. A Halloween background will only work if there is a strong, unique theme for the product.

heel

Don’t Wear Bright Colors

White/black/grey/navy are safe colors for heels in the office. Play with color, and you should definitely opt for dark colors, like black. If you want to try orange, make sure it’s a burnt orange.

heel

If you choose green, it’s better to go for something that’s an olive green or close. The same thing goes for red and other colors. When your work allows for more flexibility, it’s okay to play with color, but I do suggest sticking

Just be careful with neon colors. Few workplaces other than super casual ones are safe for neon colors.

Wear Peep Toe Shoes

There is no reason for a little peep toe to be wrong. Someone has a small one. It might start to feel like you are wearing flip flops if we can see too many toes.

heel

While this pair of shoes look good on most men, they’re not for me. The three-strap is generally too casual to wear with business casual or business formal clothes.

heel

A good rule of thumb is whether you can wear your favorite flats to work. Work will be relaxed, so if you can wear your regular two-strap or other scrappy shoes, do it. A good rule to follow is not to wear open toed shoes if you can’t wear high heels.

Other

It’s important that your shoes don’t have bright colors. In fact, it’s best if your shoes match your clothing.

In a world full of new jewelry, earrings, and bracelets, it’s hard to keep up with what’s hot. We’re constantly getting new necklaces, earrings, and bracelets that are perfect for the office and beyond.

Umarex Origin PCP Air Rifle #118

origin

Umarex Origin PCP Air Rifle

Normally we’d publish our review of the Umarex Origin PCP air rifle in one post, but this product is quite new we wanted to give you guys a thorough introduction.

This is because the HAM team is convinced that this is a game changing product that will revolutionize the entry level PCP market.

origin

Content

Value For Money

The first thing you need to know about the Umarex Origin PCP air rifle is it’s a clear HAM Gold Award winner. It is great value for money because it offers outstanding value.

At an MSRP of $349.99, you get a ten shot, shrouded, sidelever air rifle, along with a dedicated HPA hand pump. When we look at price/performance/features, it’s the clear market leader at the present time.

You’ll have to add a scope and some pellets to make it a decent PCP air rifle.

Speed And Accuracy

The Umarex Origin PCP Air Rifle tested by HAM delivered an amazing 60 shots, hitting 28.31 Ft/Lbs. That’s an average of 944 FPS. Don’t forget that’s a.22 caliber-only air rifle.

origin

When we tested the accuracy of the Origin, we were amazed by its ability to consistently group 10 shots inside a Quarter at 25 Yards, straight out of the box. These results were produced using a Leapers Bugbuster scope and JSB Jumbo 15.89 Grain pellets.

That’s very acceptable for the gun’s intended target market.

Trigger And Cocking Effort

The Umarex Origin PCP air rifle tested by HAM had an average trigger pull weight of 2 pounds, 5 ounces. Out-of-the-box, the trigger wasn’t exactly in the “glass break” class.

It’s good for its price but it’s not perfect. In addition to the main firing pin adjustment screws, you should also adjust the trigger overtravel as required for your particular gun and shooting conditions.

There are several tools that can be used to adjust the action of a weapon, and these are only accessible from underneath the weapon using Allen wrenches. This is a manual safety that is easy to use and access.

origin

The sidelever action is easy to operate and a definite step forward from the bolt actions that are typically fitted to most air rifles in this price range. Note that we added O rings to the test gun’s sidelever.

The operating mechanism of the M-Powered air rifle is slightly different from that of a traditional spring powered rifle. While the action may feel more “muddy” in operation compared to a spring powered rifle, it was easy to operate and the trigger pull is excellent.

The real comparison is that it’s waaaaay ahead of the bolt action you’d expect to find on other PCPs at this price range for smoothness and ease-of-use.

Comparison To Makes Claims

Umarex claims that the Origin is different from other pump guns because it includes patented technology that reduces the number of pumps required to fill the tank gun’s HPA tank to full pressure.

This is definitely true. With the hand pump, you can easily get it full of water, and then you’ll see how this little gadget can keep you hydrated. It’s definitely possible to fill to the maximum 3,625 PSI pressure without any problems.

That’s an amazing claim, and it matches what we’ve experienced when we’ve tested a similar product, namely the Remington R7L1A1. We recorded 1,090 fps using 9.7 Grain Gamo Raptor Platinum lead-free pellets. Right on the money!

origin

There were two areas that we had trouble with the company’s claims for the Umarex Origin PCP air rifle. If you’re a fitness buff who wants to add muscle and increase your strength, you have to add high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to your workout.

That gave us an average of 865 fps using the same Crosman 14.3 Grain pellets we used for the comprehensive shootdown test. The average shot down test for the 5D Mark III is 944 FPS over 60 shots.

It’s obvious from the 13 shots that the Umarex Origin PCP air rifle delivers good power. However, its power level isn’t the highest possible in the entire range.

Consistency

A typical, unregulated PCP air rifle exhibits a remarkable shot curve. This is a great practical benefit for anyone shooting this gun.

Nosie Level

The Umarex Origin PCP has a built-in barrel shroud that greatly reduces the recoil of the gun. HAM found that this gun was great for taking small game. However, there was one aspect to shooting the Origin that I did not like.

That’s the high-pitched “twang” you hear when you shoot a basketball or a baseball. A twang is a characteristic “tick,” or a sound that’s heard as air passes through an instrument. The shootdown tests showed that this airplane was a serious threat, so it needed to be taken into custody.

origin

I’m guessing the sound comes from the “Ever Pressure” tank system, which gives such benefits in filling the Origin. It’s almost certainly inherent in the design. With regular use, you’ll probably not notice—or at least accept—it.

Sights And Scope

There’s nothing to say here, but if you have a Picatinny scope, it’s an easy upgrade. Unlike spring/piston air rifles, any scope can be used on a rifle with minimal recoil. We mounted a Leapers UTG Bugbuster 3-12×32 Bugbuster scope for HAM testing. They went well together.

Shootability

Umarex’s Origin is well balanced in the hand and very comfortable to shoot. It wasn’t that easy to get a nice cheek weld against the stock’s raised comb, but you did it. The ability to perform practical tests in the field is the biggest contributor to practical accuracy.

origin

With the Leapers UTG Bugbuster scope mounted, the test gun weighed-in at just 7 pounds and 6 ounces. The magazines are also easy to load. They’re lightweight and easy to carry around, making it ideal for hunting, fishing, hiking or just hanging

So when you’re out and about, you know the gun will not fire even if the magazine is empty. It is indeed possible to double-feed the Origin if you’re not paying attention. That’s true with the overwhelming majority of PCP air rifles, and so shouldn’t count against them.

Appearance And Finish

This is the perfect PCP rifle. It shoots well, has a nice feel in the hand and looks good. I love the harmonious and streamlined design of this product. I think it would be an ideal choice for a lot of people.

origin

All metal and synthetic parts are finished well. This is a quality casting. The mold lines are very noticeable, but they don’t affect the overall appearance. But this is a great deal for this price. It’s a par for the course at this price.

Buying And Owning

This is the best airgun to shoot off the shelf. The airgun has been engineered to be the most reliable. This makes it easy to buy. There are no complexities that could deter customers from buying and dealers from selling PPC airguns.

This makes it more likely that the Origin will be the first PCP air rifle to become really widely available in big box sporting goods stores. The hand pump is included for free with every gun, and it should last for at least a year.

Some pumps have spare parts, tools and instructions that encourage “handy” owners to repair the pump themselves in the event of malfunction.

Beeman Under Lever PCP Air Rifle #117

beeman

Beeman Under Lever PCP Air Rifle

The Beeman Under Lever PCP Air Rifle is a unique and affordable bullpup that provides shooters with features and a level of quality that typically cost more.

Its powerful 20mm rifle-caliber rounds shoot up to 1000 fps. The fast-shooting.22 caliber offers the versatility of medium-range shooting as well as small-game hunting, pest control, and plinking.

This gun is a bolt-action design. It has a cocking lever in the bottom of the buttstock. It’s easy to cycle, and easy to load and fire from either the right or left side. A bullpup PCP offers a more compact package that is shorter and lighter than other carbines without sacrificing power or accuracy. This makes it easier to handle in the field.

beeman

The ambidextrous stock on the air rifle features a stylish thumbhole for a secure and comfortable grip. The durable rubber buttpad also ensures a stable hold on the air rifle. The male quick-disconnect fill port makes for simple filling, and the integrated manometer makes it easy to tell the state of the fill at a glance.

To give shooters the opportunity for a more accurate shot, this air rifle comes with a 4×32 Beeman scope, and it includes two additional Picatinny accessory rails for adding other items such as laser sights or lights.

Content

Value For Money

The Beeman Model 1358 PCP air rifle costs $350 at a Street Price, which puts it in the middle of the $300 – $350 PCPs. Though it’s the best-selling PCP air rifle right now, it’s the cheapest wood-stock PCP for sale right now.

Of course, low-cost bullpup PCPs are a hot area of the market right now, so this product will have a big attraction for many. It’s supplied with a scope. This may be an attraction to some buyers, but the HAM Team is not so sure, as we’ll see in the next paragraph.

beeman

The model 1358 is bundled with a comprehensive range of accessories. This includes two magazines, two single shot trays, a degassing tool, and an attachment for the degassing tool.

It’s well-equipped and is the standard of most people who buy them. And most people still prefer a wooden stock when available. No regulation, but this is still a great value for money.

Speed And Accuracy

The maximum muzzle velocity for the Beeman Model 1358 air rifle tested by HAM was 1,091.5 fps with H&N Field Target Trophy Green pellets.

The fastest-shooting lead pellets are always the light 11.9 grain RWS Hobby wadcutters.

The best performer from the.223 caliber group was the Vortex Viper PST. The Vortex Viper PST is the only semi-auto with an advanced recoil control system. It also features high accuracy in a lightweight package.

beeman

Power hit 25 Ft/Lbs, which is good for a handgun of this size and caliber. From the table above, it is clear that the Model 1358 was very accurate at detecting pellets for the HAM standard test suite.

The best accuracy in HAM testing was achieved using 14.3 Grain Crosman Premier Hollow Point pellets. These Premier pellets will be the choice of most owners of the Beeman 1358.

Trigger And Cocking Effort

The trigger tested had an average pull weight of 6 lbs, or 8.9 oz.

You’ll probably be very happy with how it performs and how it looks, but it’s a heavy trigger pull, and you’ll be using it much more than you normally would if it had that pull weight.

This isn’t first stage take up, it’s the product of slack in the long linkage inherent in bullpup airguns where the trigger is separated from the sear at the rear.

The 25 Yard test target above shows that HAM Publisher Stephen Archer had trouble with horizontal stringing.

This happened because he found that the long, heavy trigger pull caused him to shoot in a strange, uncontrolled manner.

beeman

The inherent accuracy of the gun would seem to be better than his test target shows, if somehow the trigger could be improved.

This knife is made from high carbon steel, making it hard and durable. A single stage trigger with a considerable amount of slack and a high pull weight. If they were better, they could sell a lot more guns.” He also agreed that accuracy could be better if the trigger were to be improved.

HAM plans to look into making improvements to the Model 1358 trigger in the future. For this test, we shoot in “as received” condition, as always. The underlever cocking system is easy to use and is comfortable for most shooters.

It’s likely that like the HAM testers, you’ll be grasping for a non-existent side lever when first making acquaintance with the Model 1358, but once your muscle memory takes over and the underlever action becomes second nature, it will feel perfectly normal.

Comparison To Makes Claims

Not surprisingly, Beeman makes few claims for the Model 1358. The primary muzzle velocity of the DPMS VSR-16 is 880 fps. While this is a conservative estimate, there is still a large margin of error.

beeman

In HAM testing, we were able to achieve a maximum of 838 FPS with lead pellets and 910 FPS. It’s true, the sample had a higher average than expected.

Consistency

The Beeman Model 1358 is an unregulated PCP air rifle that delivers a very aggressive shot curve. We found that the average Standard Deviation produced when shooting the HAM test pellet suits was 12.98 FPS.

As you can see, this is a real picture of an adult cockroach. It appears to have been killed and its head removed. That’s because it reduces the “point of impact” on the target, too.

The standard HAM metric of regarding a shot difference of 40 frames as the maximum; that makes the number of consistent shots per fill just 10. That depends on the gun’s muzzle velocity and the distance from which it is fired.

beeman

If you’re a hunter, you might want to look for a better rifle. For plinkers, this is probably a good curve. It’s very unsatisfactory compared to the performance of similarly-priced (but not bullpup) PCPs in the market today.

There was nothing wrong with Beeman using the scope with the Model 1358, but they could have saved money by not having included the scope with the gun. I think you’ll find it’s more expensive to add a regulator.

We’re not saying it would be easy to do. We just believe that it’s worth considering if this is something that you’d like to add to your arsenal as a tool to help. The Beeman Model 1358 tested by HAM was a very consistent trigger. The trigger pull weight varied by only about 1 oz either side of the average value we recorded.

This is excellent consistency, and it’s a completely consistent trigger pull weight.

Noise Level

The Beeman Model 1358 Air Rifle has a shrouded barrel. However the HAM testers did find it to be a loud air rifle. This planter will probably survive your backyard without needing any maintenance. If you have an expansive backyard, this planter will likely be happy in it.

The de-gassing tool looks like an odd-looking, oddly shaped stick. The hose adapter screws into the quick-disconnect nozzle and releases pressure by depressing the one-way valve on the nozzle.

Sights And Scope

The Beeman Model 1358 is supplied complete with a 4×32 scope and rings.

This “ready to shoot” airgun package is laudable, but it will not provide a shooter with the best quality 4×32 scope. The HAM Team recommends that the first thing any owner should do is buy a better quality scope, not to mention better PCP charging equipment.

While it could be a suitable scope for a bargain basement $100 airgun, it’s completely unsuitable for a $350 PCP.

beeman

We mounted a Leapers UTG 3-12 x 44 SWAT riflescope, together with a stylish UTG ACCU-SYNC one piece mount.

In order to find the right scope for this gun, we took a step back and looked at the needs of the shooter. We found a scope that would allow us to do so! This Picatinny rail is the longest one I’ve ever seen on a pistol. It’s very well positioned on the gun, too. When you buy this product, you will also receive a complete rail mount assembly, which is an important part of this product.

Shootability

A bullpup rifle, regardless of what type it is, is a bit of an acquired taste. Some people really like them, while others really do not. For example, HAM PCP Reviewer Doug Rogers does not.

It’s really not Doug’s favorite configuration, but even he had to comment in his test notes that the Beeman Model 1358 was “easy to hold and shoot. The gun weighed in at nine pounds eight ounces, including the UTG scope and mount. (Without the scope, it was seven pounds fourteen ounces.

The Model 1358 has a soft, comfortable cheekpiece that fits securely. It is especially suitable for long-range shooting. It’s best to use for right-handed shooters, though it’s not comfortable for left-handers, like Doug.

beeman

This was because the magazine was protruding from the side of the gun when he was testing it. This is a very versatile, compact pistol that requires no gunsmithing or modification to mount a suppressor, the design of which was made to be compatible with the weapon.

The Beeman Model 1358 may not have been designed for the purpose of shooting from the bench, but it is possible to do so.

Overall, the Beeman Model 1358 PCP air rifle was comfortable and convenient to shoot. The short length, light weight and good balance make it easy to aim and shoot and would be convenient for the hunter from a hide. This one would make for a better fit and would give you more grip, but we’d prefer to see a rather more grippy rubber buttpad than the one fitted to this stock.

Appearance And Finish

The reviewer was very happy with the quality of workmanship, saying that it exceeded his expectations. He also noted the accuracy of the rifle, saying that he could put groups in the 1/2-inch range consistently.

The overall level of finish on the plastic, metal and wood parts was “Good, considering the price.” Molding seams on the few plastic parts were minimal. The wood stock appears to be made from beech and was also well finished. There are no obvious signs of cracks or filler.

beeman

This is a nice quality piece of hardwood stock. It would make a good trigger guard for someone who wants to customize the stock to suit his / her own unique style. Design-wise, the skeleton-style stock is similar to that seen in a number of other bullpup air rifles, so you get a little of what you see there. If you like bullpups, you’ll find the looks of the Beeman Model 1358 to be quite pleasant.

Buying And Owning

It’s been a long time since I’ve done anything like this, but HAM has fit an actual pressure gauge on the 1358 in order to allow you to take advantage of the best pressure and angle available to make some incredible lead balls.

Some low cost PCPs have the gauge at the end of the pressure tube. Although Crosman has always been a notable exception to that unfortunate trend.

beeman

This is correct, the mid-mount pressure gauge is more expensive than the bolt-action pressure gauge, however it’s much safer for the shooter because they do not have to look down the barrel to check the pressure.

One of the safety features you would expect to be included on all PCP air rifles is a de-gassing capability. The Beeman Model 1358 has this feature. This product has an unusual and innovative design.

The degassing tool is placed in the fill nozzle of the machine. I was able to create a set of images, select a group of people who would benefit from those images, then test their comprehension. As mentioned above, a connection to the HPA supply is made using standard 1/8-inch NPT fittings. It’s a good size and can be filled with a small hand pump.

M4 Carbine Introduction

The 5.56mm NATO rifle is a lightweight, gas-operated, air-cooled, magazine-fed, selective rate, shoulder-fired weapon. The standard issue firearm for most US units is the M16A2, a modernized version of the AR-15.

With a shorter barrel, collapsible stock and detachable carrying handle it provides soldiers operating in close quarters with improved handling and the capability to rapidly and accurately engage targets at extended range, day or night.

The M4 carbine is a shortened variant of the M16A2 rifle. It allows soldiers to engage targets at extended ranges with accurate, lethal fire.

The M4-series Carbine achieves over 80% commonality with the M16A2 Rifle and replaces all M3 9mm caliber submachine guns, and select M9 pistols and M16 rifles.

The Army is pursuing a two-phase PIP to keep the M4 carbine inventory strong.

The Army is upgrading its M4 carbines, the guns it uses to fight America’s enemies. Phase I of this project is designed to make the M4s better and more reliable so they can be used by the Special Forces.

If you have a M4, you might as well upgrade to an M4A1. Compared to the M4, the M4A1 has full auto capability, a consistent trigger pull, and a slightly heavier barrel. The heavier barrel is more durable and holds up better to the heat produced by high volumes of fire.

The new M4A1s will come equipped with new and upgraded ambidextrous fire control, as well as a new charging handle that makes it easier for troops to charge their weapon without taking their hand off the rifle.

Project Manager Soldier Weapons (PM SW) initiated Phase I by modifying its contract for the production of M4s to the M4A1. The PMSW has taken delivery of 9,582 new M4A1s to complete this action.

The U.S. Army will continue to field the M4 carbine until at least 2017. PM SW also held a competition for the manufacture of 24,000 additional M4A1 carbines. Remington Arms won a contract to provide handguns to the US armed forces.

The Pentagon plans to develop several courses of action in response to the GAO ruling and concern about the competitions. Once the M4A1 and M4 contract dispute is resolved, other services will be able to place their orders against that contract as well.

The main thrust of the new phase of the project was to upgrade existing M4s to the M4A1 configuration. The Army is converting all M4s to the M4A1 standard and is planning to spend $30M over a four-year period to do so.

The Army will finish the upgrades by purchasing components that support modifications work orders (MWOs) that will be applied by small arms readiness and evaluation teams (SARETs).

This month, the Army is awarding six contracts for modular weapon platforms. Of the five awardees, two were small businesses. This award reflects the Army’s success in the broadening of the opportunities for small arms contractors and strengthening the diversity of the industrial base.

We’re looking forward to awarding the final contract for the barrel and bolt assembly this summer. Soret will start upgrading its maximum monthly output of armored vehicles to 8,000 starting in late summer of 2013.

PM SW completed its best value M4 carbine bolt and bolt carrier assembly competition in April 2012, but the competition was supposed to finish this year in summer. None of the 11 competing designs were accepted into the contest, so they did not meet the requirements.

The M4 has a reliable design. It’s durable. And it can withstand extreme cold. The only way to know for sure is to fire the gun! We saved almost two million dollars as a result of the early completion of the competition.

The conclusion of the bolt competition will have no impact on the search for a better forward rail assembly. The PM SW bid sample tested for a forward rail assembly competition in early August.

In early 2013, the Army will select from up to three finalists to win a contract. If the Army determines the winning rail system should be procured, it’s expected the deliveries of new rails will begin in the summer of 2014.

The M4 PIP is just another step in a long history of continually improving the Soldier’s weapons. The Army is making improvements to their M4 rifle every time the M4 is replaced. They have already made more than 90 proposals for the M4 carbine since its introduction.

A new trigger design has been incorporated into the weapon which makes for a more user friendly system for Soldiers to carry and fire.

The M4 carbine is a great gun that was designed from the ground up to be the best weapon system for the Army and it continues to evolve and improve.

M4 Rifle Design Works The Best

The mid-length gas system on the M4A1 carbine greatly extends the life of the weapon system, while increasing its overall performance compared to a carbine-length gas system, according to a study conducted by Naval Surface Warfare Center – Crane.

The U.S. Navy’s Crane Center is responsible for testing, evaluating, procuring, and managing the life cycle of the U.S. military.

The Special Operations Command’s M4A1 Carbine is an advanced assault rifle that is used by the U.S. military. This particular model of the gun was used by the soldiers who were testing the new mid-length gas system.

In the same vein, civilian shooters and those who compete in the United States might find this study to be very interesting. Special operations forces who customize their M4 variants will appreciate this book, but the evidence presented backs up what they have believed for years.

The answer is that the M16 was a semiautomatic assault weapon and the M4 is a fully automatic rifle. During the development of the M4, the gas system in the M16 had to be redesigned, according to Crane.

When the M16 first came out, it used a 20-inch barrel and gas system, but they shrunk it down to fit a 14.5-inch barrel.

The smaller, lighter cartridge, the shorter barrel, and a shorter-than-normal gas port put more pressure on the shooter than an 1857 cartridge. The decreased distance from bolt face to gas port increased port pressure, which allowed for more effective use of propellant.

The M4’s port pressure was 17,000 psi while the M16’s port pressure was 10,000 psi.

In fact, many of the M4 clones use longer barrels and utilize mid-length gas systems. This adjustment shortens the length of the barrel. If the barrel is too long, the bullet will travel further than normal and if it is too short, the bullet will travel less distance than what would normally be expected.

Tanfoglio Witness 1911 CO2 BB Pistol, Brown Grips #115

1911

Tanfoglio Witness 1911 BB Pistol

The Tanfoglio 1911 BB pistol is a real surprise, even if it’s a replica of the original. Now it’s time for the guys who make the BB guns to report back and give us a few stats on the velocity and accuracy of their weapons.

This may be the most accurate BB gun I’ve ever tested. Because I said almost the same thing about the SIG Sauer SP 2022 BB pistol back when I tested it in May, that statement deserves an explanation.

The SIG Sauer SP 2022 has been a very accurate rifle and has helped many hunters get great results for years. I saw it. It was a little below the centre of the target.

The Tanfoglio shoots dead-center, every time. When I saw how many rounds it was taking to knock the targets out of the ring, I knew I needed to try it. These groups are definitely not as good as the ones shot with the SIG, but at least they ended up somewhere.

Tanfoglio Witness 1911 BB Pistol Feeling

I know that a particular gun is a good’un when I can’t stop pulling the trigger. It didn’t happen too often, but it sure did with this Tanfoglio. I stood in front of the net shooting five shots a time with rests between.

If you were to use this target for shooting, you would have to shoot with your eyes closed and only look at the front sight. It’s rare, but sometimes it happens and it’s a problem. With 40 shots, I was ready to call it a day.

1911

After that, my arms were really tired, so I couldn’t do it again. It’s nice to know that a gun is always there for you and makes you do your best because it will always encourage you. Most people didn’t think they would say that about a BB gun either, but I promise it works better than a BB pistol.

The best BB magazine that I’ve ever used is the 20-shot stick magazine. Pull the tab off the center of the case and it’ll unlock. The BBs seem to pour in the opening, and there is a groove to help align a bunch of BBs for the loading hole.

Speed

With Velocity With Daisy zinc-plated BBs, I got two different velocities. The CO2 cartridge was at its best when it was new. It averaged 410 fps.

With a spread from 396 to a high of 416, as the cartridge neared depletion. Tanfoglio BBs have an average FPS of 414 when the Co2 cartridge is new.

Noise

So many shots you get 60 in one cartridge, but not quite 80, so that last magazine has to be watched. The CO2 piercing screw is inconvenient to operate because the battery has to be held up to it while you’re putting it on.

Put the piercing screw in until you hear a hissing noise. Then quickly put it all the way in to secure it. Use Crosman Pellet Ammunition Oil on every cartridge.

Trigger Pull

The trigger pull is what you’d expect from a real 1911 automatic pistol—a single action with a smooth hammer drop. It is light and short. If the above examples do not provide a suitable solution, please contact us with detailed

Accuracy

I got about a two inch grouping from 20 feet away shooting 8 shots with one hand, and the same groupings were achieved by using the other hand.

Realism

This is a replica of the most iconic firearm in American history. It’s the 1911 in every way except for the metal. If you want more than just what you’ve got, you’re going to have to pick yourself up a real.

Pros

This is an extremely realistic replica of an actual Colt 1911 A1 handgun. It is a quality weapon that feels good in the hand, and it is made out of a high quality metal.

This would make an excellent training gun because it functions just like the real steel 1911.45 handgun. Blowback, or recoil, is one of the most realistic things you can add to a rifle.

This was built in 1911 and just like the original, it’s made from stainless steel for years of use and reliability. This is a good accurate shooting gun for this style of gun, it works well and is made with good quality.

Cons

It’s hard to load up, but I find it really effective. It does not have any adjustable sights, so you will not be able to make any adjustments to the scope before firing.

Colt 1911 Real Steel Background

The Colt 1911 handgun is the evolution of earlier handguns, such as the Colt Model 1900. It was designed by legendary U.S. firearms designer John Moses Browning, and became one of the most successful handguns ever made.

The Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) was developed by John Browning to meet a US Army requirement for a modern, recoil-operated, heavy machinegun suitable for use by infantry. The U.S. military wanted a gun that would chamber the new.45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) round and which would be simple, rugged and reliable enough for military use.

In the early days of the Great War, combat reports noted the poor performance of the.38 calibre round for which the M1892 was chambered.

In 1904, Browning created the.45 ACP cartridge as a means of experimentally loading a firearm cartridge. The idea was to find a way to load a round that would give the firearm greater power than the revolver’s. 0.22 LR was significantly larger and heavier than any other contemporary pistol cartridge and promised to provide the stopping power that was lacking in the smaller.38.

Design

The Luger chambered for.45 ACP was superior to any other pistol available during the 1905 trials.

The design of the 1911 pistol was hugely influential and most semi-automatic pistols which followed used variations of the same basic approach.

The principle of extracting the used cartridge case and loading the next round wasn’t new – the Mauser C96 and P.08 Lugers (Luger) pistols were both well established when Browning began his design.

Both these examples have complex mechanical systems that need to be carefully cleaned. If they are not, they may malfunction, which is something to avoid.

The first handguns to use a sliding breech were developed in the early twentieth century. They were simple, and not so difficult to operate.

It’s an elegantly simple design that proved simple to manufacture and reliable in use.

FX Crown MKII, GRS Green Mountain Laminate, 600mm Barrel #114

MKII

FX Crown MKII, GRS Green Mountain Laminate, 600mm Barrel

The FX Crown MKII with GRS Green Mountain Laminate stock is bigger, better and more powerful than the previous model. This version takes the MK II’s base action and places it in a stock made by one of the premier makers of rifle stocks, GRS.

The new AirForce Pro Gunstock is built from a unique GRS laminate stock and features the unique GRS-Slam trigger system. It’s a versatile, well-crafted, and comfortable helmet that offers tons of comfort features, plus tool-free adjustment and a high-quality, angled ergonomic GRS grip.

mkii

The FX Crown MKII is a shooting sports dream machine. Its accuracy, reliability, and precision are unparalleled in the industry. If you want the absolute best accuracy in a.22 rimfire caliber rifle then look no further than the FX Crown MKII! If you want to take your shooting to the next level, it starts with the FX Smooth Twist STX Barrel System.

The system allows you to not only change the caliber of the rifle (from.177 up to.30 cal) but also exchange the barrel liner itself to further tailor your barrel’s twist rate and choke to the pellet of your choice. The Smooth Twist X System is housed in a fully shrouded barrel to keep things ultra quiet.

Content

Adjustability

Adjustability has no limits with the FX Crown MKII. This air rifle has two pressure gauges to help you adjust the pressure:

If this regulator is left open, the gas flow through it is unrestricted, which may allow excess gas into your system. This is what makes a regulator essential to every system.

The trigger with the adjustable two-stage design is called match grade, and it is a very good trigger.

Power

Fill the gun to the 250 BAR (3,625 PSI) max. and enjoy long and consistent shots from the 480cc carbon fiber air cylinder.

mkii

This high quality, two-stage match-grade trigger is fully adjustable for precise shots.

You can simply put a scope on top of the integrated Picatinny optics rail, and then head out to the range.

Power Adjuster

The FX Crown MKII GRS Green Mountain Camo features a Superlight STX (Smooth Twist X) barrel system with changeable liners that have rifling pressed in from the outside, making for minimal friction and minimal tolerances.

It’s a great, reliable system with a unique feature that makes it fun to shoot with—the ability to change the twist rate and even calibre with the flick of your wrist.

480 CC Carbon Air Cylinder

FX Match trigger with adjustable first and second stage and the extremely low trigger weight of 5g. It’s so comfortable to shoot because the pull weight is so low, and the stock is completely finished off by the GSR.

This FX stock is an absolute masterpiece. It’s designed in Norway by a company that’s known for innovative gunstocks.

When the lumber is in the form of planks it can be more easily assembled to make furniture. Laminates are less susceptible to changes in temperature and humidity.

mkii

A well-engineered cheek piece is specifically designed to work with the shape of your hand to make the perfect grip. A cheek pad with height of the cheek piece and length of pull can be adjusted without tools, but only by pushing a button.

The recoil damping buttpad is made of soft and flexible rubber.

This air rifle comes with moderate tuning settings, so it is usable for a variety of shooting styles, there are different values that can be shown on the air rifle. You can adjust them using the adjustments options on the air rifle.

Increase Accurate

All pellet styles look the same, but they’re all laser accurate.

The Precision Rifles GRS stock is exceptional. It features excellent ergonomics and is very comfortable for the shooter.

The LASR rifle and the GRS stock are well built and made from a strong and durable composite material, making the rifle both light and strong. Its design is also perfectly quiet for such a powerful rifle.

The Ultimate Sniper Stock (U.S.S.) features true ambidexterity with an adjustable cheek rest that can be set up for both left and right-handed shooters, a fixed / adjustable design that eliminates movement and noise, and a spring-loaded butt pad that extends 1.25 inches with the touch of a button and is adjustable in.45 inch increments with four positions.

The HM1000x is an accurate rifle for target shooting in.22 and.25 caliber, capable of firing up to 12 rounds at a time without reloading. The R&G Hunter’s Side Lever is equipped with a patented side lever cocking mechanism for unrivaled smoothness and hardened steel linkage.

hm1000x

This is one of the best hunting guns you can buy. It’s a solid design built with attention to details. There are lots of great features, but it also has a solid design and a good weight balance. RAW HM1000X is a real weapon in your arsenal. Whether on the range or in the field, RAW delivers.

RAW HM1000X Review

Having a.25 RAW in walnut helped me understand what to expect. I had a chance to try this muzzleloader. I have never shot one before, but the velocity is outstanding. They shoot about 920 fps with the 25.39 Monster Redesigned pellets. I think these will make a great combination!

I first got rid of all the rust by cleaning the barrel. The second thing you have to adjust is the scope eye relief so it suits you. I then readjusted the POI to dead on at 18 yards using my indoor range.

hm1000x

This POI is the best I’ve ever used. It allows me to take photos, regardless of the time of day or weather conditions. I knew that a pellet at 920 fps would be able to penetrate the paper and stop dead on target at 50 yards, which it did when tested.

The real surprise was the moderator, who was unlike anyone I’ve ever seen before. Not only was he not dressed in a tie and suit, he wasn’t wearing a suit at all. Instead, it’s a long, cylindrical plastic tube, filled with a foam.

At first, I was really disappointed as I cannot imagine this new design is as durable as the old one. There are no doubt many people who will be disappointed by the fact that it’s not exactly the same as the one that I originally designed.

hm1000x

Yeah, I got it. It was a good.25. And it’s a nice looking stock. I’m a fan of the M-Lock accessory options, and I appreciate the lighter frame of the chassis rifle, but I like my walnut rifle better.

This rifle shoots like an absolute laser. It came out of the box shooting almost exactly the same speed as my tuned Red Wolf.

Shooting Test

The.50 calibre cartridge at 50 yards delivers 1/5th ounce pellets and can easily hit targets up to 50 yards away from the shooter. The real surprise associated with this rifle is that two slugs shot better groups than did the pellets. This is an important feature for deer hunting since most hunters have to shoot uphill.

hm1000x

A good all-around rifle, this rifle will take care of most deer species with ease. It has plenty of accuracy, reliability, and ruggedness. And while I do love my Red Wolf, this rifle performs equally well without all of the necessary electronic problems and attention from time to time.

Here are my test results for your review, and if you have any questions, please contact me.

As I already owned a.25 RAW, I knew what to expect. I also own a Red Wolf.22, tuned for the 25.39 Jumbo Monster pellets. I’ve been using it for fun at the range, and it’s the most accurate air rifle I’ve ever owned.

hm1000x

The first thing I did was wash out the barrel. It was pretty easy to clean, and it’s not too bad. The second thing I wanted to adjust was the scope’s eye relief. Using your indoor range, you then proceeded to adjust your POI to dead on at 18 yards.

This point of interest helps me verify product information before I make changes or edits to my listings, no matter what the time of day, weather conditions, or any other factors. I knew that this pellet would print dead-on at 50 yards when I tested it at the 920 fps velocity.

Design

One real surprise was the moderator. On this event he was far from the carbon fiber offset moderator shown on the sales literature. The best-selling foam roller is a long cylindrical plastic piece that is packed with foam.

hm1000x

The new design is not as durable as the old one. When you’re buying a new gun, you want it to feel light, shoot better, and be easy to load. Yes, the receiver is built like a tank and is also built to withstand the rigors of shooting at long range.

I like the accessory options and the much lighter chassis rifle over my walnut rifle, though they both have their purpose.

hm1000x

The rifle shot exactly the same speed as my tuned Red Wolf. I took it out of the box and put 10 rounds into a paper plate, and it shot nearly perfect every time. This golf ball is the perfect distance for you. It will shoot straight and true with a small group of shots.

This rifle surprised me by its great accuracy. I found the two slugs shot much better groups than did the pellets. It would have been surprising to me if the pellets had shot as well or better.

hm1000x

The accompanying test chart indicates that this rifle was a good buy. I am very pleased to add it to the stable, and I don’t see any reason to buy anything else. I’m excited to have my new red wolf rifle, this one doesn’t need as much attention as other models.

Seneca Eagle Claw Carbine, Lever Action PCP #112

seneca eagle

Seneca Eagle Claw Carbine, Lever Action PCP

The Seneca Eagle Claw Carbine is an amazing, smoot-cocking, lever-action repeater that is so similar in feel and function to a classic lever-fired, powder-burning rifle it looks, feels and works just like it.

The best carbine is the X300 carbine. It comes with a 380cc air cylinder that has a range of easily adjustable power settings, and it will shoot pellets faster than 1070 fps, and it can shoot them slower than 550 fps in.22 caliber.

These powerful energy-producing cartridges are capable of producing up to 45 FPE in.22 and 65 FPE in.25 calibers and are available in either a 10-shot.22- or 8-shot.25-caliber version.

The Eagle Claw carbine is designed with a 20-inch barrel, so it will tame the sound for backyard-friendly shooting.

This carbine gets about 28 shots in.22 cal and about 20 shots in.25 cal with the power set to the maximum, according to the manufacturer.

This air rifle weighs just over seven pounds, so it’s ideal for the woods, the prairie or the range.

Seneca Eagle Claw Field Review

The New Seneca Eagle Claw was flown to a field review. I was excited to use the.25 caliber lever action 70 fpe rifle for the first time. It took a few days to put together a few days of time in the field because of the amount of rain and snow we have received.

Rifle Stats

The Ruger Blackhawk PCP Repeater Rifle is the perfect rifle to fulfill your need for a powerful, fun-to-shoot PCP repeater with a smooth, easy-to-cock lever action. We recommend looking at the Seneca Eagle Claw from Air Venturi! It is made of top quality materials and is guaranteed to help protect your laptop.

When you need an effective repeater, look no further than this collection of high-quality and stylish models. This airgun features easily adjustable power, smooth lever action cocking and delivers up to a whopping 70 foot-pounds of muzzle energy in.25 cal and 45 foot-pounds in.22 caliber.

seneca eagle

It’s not unusual for a rifle to fire multiple rounds a second, which makes the Ruger Precision Rifle the fastest gun in the world. With a shrouded barrel, it takes the bark out of its bite. These handsome-looking pistols are built with Set in Sepatia stocks and a 460cc air tank for up to 35 shots per fill in.22 cal and 25 shots in.25 cal on max power.

Turn on the adjustable power wheel until it hits about one-third of its way up the dial and the engine will be running at a low RPM, conserving air. Its.22-caliber model is available in 10-shot,.25- and 8-shot,.22-calibers.

3000psi Fill Pressure, Ideal For Hand Pumping

Several weeks after receiving the rifle, the Jeep packed up for the trip into the mountains where we would spend several days with the Eagle Claw. It’s not unusual for the weather to be very cold in the winter. So hunters are expected to see very little activity.

There are a lot of animals to hunt in this part of the state. There are patches of snow here and there, but most of it is gone. It took us nearly 30 hours to travel this road and it was hard to navigate because of the rain.

After I made my plan, I had to spend the first part of the morning testing the Eagle Claw at various ranges as well as to test both pellets and slugs.

After I made my plan, I had to spend the first part of the morning testing the Eagle Claw at various ranges as well as to test both pellets and slugs.

8 Shot Magazine

When the self indexing 8 shot magazine was first introduced in 2015 it was really hard to load and the magazine just jammed every time. The magazine is not compatible with this rifle and has a small center screw that is difficult to remove, causing it to jam.

After I loosened up the screws the magazine worked fine. That’s what the folks at Eagle Claw are already working on!

seneca eagle

This magazine works for slugs but they have no skirt so if you keep your finger over the back, they’ll slide through and you can advance. My preferred pellet loader is a pellet pen. It helps in accuracy and aids in a smooth loading into the barrel.

The Eagle Claw’s breech is fixed in position, so there is no need to flip the breech over to the right side. The lefty shooter kit is a nice addition to your gear bag.

75 Yards Shooting Test

I set up a target at 75 yards where I planned to test both pellets and slugs for accuracy and speed. I used my 9mm Remington Model 110 to test the JSB 33.

I had a lot of fun making the shot, and made one that was very nice. You should have some fun too, and make one just like it. The trigger on the rifle is two stage adjustable and was set fairly stiff, yet predictable right out of the box.

The very short first stage had a little creep but I think this may be one of those triggers that improves with use. I think with a little adjustment, the trigger will be just fine for any type of user. You probably noticed that I used a 33.5 grain slug on a 22 caliber rifle, but what I did not expect was the speed that it hit the target.

seneca eagle

The slugs are going a bit slower than the pellets. This is normal, since there is more surface area going down the barrel. Most slugs will shoot better at a higher rate of speed.

I just finished using this rifle for the first time and it has a good barrel. I’d like to use it for a few days of field use. It was really cold, but we went to go chase a few rabbits that evening. We really didn’t think we’d find them, but we did.

After loading up my pack, I took some time to discuss the Air Venturi buddy bottle I had purchased to extend my ventures into the field.

This is a 100 cu in 4500 psi plastic bottle with an EZ fill valve that’s slim enough for packing away. Marley and I went on a trail that wasn’t planned where I planned a 4 mile loop into very rugged canyons.

seneca eagle

It was still really cold up here in New York, but it didn’t seem to stop people from taking a stroll around Central Park. We moved directly up the mountain, which is at a much higher elevation, to hopefully spot wildlife.

The birds were pretty far away when I took this photo, so the lens on my camera had to be set to maximum aperture.

Hunting Review

I took careful aim and made a perfect headshot with my dog Marley. He quickly recovered from a small fall and came up next to some thick brush.

This shot is captured with a Tactacam FTS scope camera. They are not easy birds to hunt with an airgun, but I got it with my skill and patience. They are hard to spot, but by this time of year they have recovered from being out in the open so much during the warmer months.

After bagging our bird we set out and continued the big 4 mile loop back to camp. My camera fell off a cliff and I tumbled down it. The LCD screen cracked unfortunately. I was worried that the video footage might have been compromised.

seneca eagle

Fortunately, my camera functioned well enough to get me through this trip, but I’ll need to replace it soon. There was not much wildlife activity while we were hiking up the creek-bed, but the cold weather was keeping most of the animals hunkered down and out of sight.

Marley and I made the journey back to camp where I prepared a fire-pit and dug out a good-size tent.

I dug the fire-pit fairly wide and threw some dirt towards the back, stacking some rocks on top to reflect the heat towards the tent. We didn’t waste anything. Marley and I ate the entire bird. There wasn’t much meat but it was still tasty.

These birds have quite large breasts. If properly prepared they are some of the best tasting meat one can get. A highly recommended book to read! After an early dinner Marley and I headed back out for a short walk, and saw only a glimpse of a small Cottontail scurrying away into the thick brush.

It’s really hard to review a gun when it’s really cold. I know I sure have my issues when it’s that cold. The temperature dropped into the low 20’s and it was just after dark when we returned to our campsite. So we had a good dinner and warmed up by the campfire.

seneca eagle

It was great meeting the team from Eagle Claw and getting to learn about their line of products that are designed for those who have to handle heavy loads in harsh field conditions.

It was that night that we bundled ourselves under a lot of blankets and I periodically got up to keep the fire tended through the early morning hours. I woke up and started making coffee while Marley waited for the sun to come out.

The plan for the day was to go off-trail for a half mile, then cut back to the trail. We went for a long walk, taking in the beautiful scenery. It was about a mile or so from the car to the viewpoint where we stopped for a breather.

I’d never seen that many ground squirrels in my life. They were all over the place and it was quite surprising to me! I wasn’t able to conceal myself well behind a large boulder that doubled well as a steady rest for the Eagle Claw.

The Lone Stock design is really good in this situation. I find it easier to hold onto the stock when trying to make a shot.

100 Yards Shooting

I was able to connect with several large adult ground squirrels with the furthest out just past 100 yards. The eagle claw can’t have been that good of a shot since the eagles were so close to them.

Lever action rifles were developed for hunting, and they’re still used today in many countries to take down dangerous animals, I really enjoyed the forend that rested on the rock shelf and made it so much easier for me to rest my rifle there

The Hawke Vantage 3-12×44 SF scope is a great scope for most all hunting situations.

When hiking around, I usually always have my scope magnification set to 3 power, so that I can acquire quick target acquisitions. As you drive through the field you spot a large rabbit moving away at over 130 yards. You start to get worried that it will disappear from sight.

Crosman 2100B Air Rifle 0.177 #111

2100B Air Rifle

Crosman 2100B Air Rifle

Crosman 2100B Air Rifle is an impressive product for anyone who shoots. It’s light, compact, accurate, and easy to use. Plus, it looks awesome. This gun fired ten Crosman Premier pellets (sold in the cardboard box, not the metal tin) into a group of 0.539″ at 10 meters.

I’ve owned this gun for many years now. It’s a really nice gun and still works as well as it did the day I bought it.

If you want a gun that puts rounds where they are supposed to be in relation to where you are aiming, get this gun. Pump the 2100B from 3 to 12 times, depending on how far you’re shooting.

This full size powerhouse lets you fire pellet and BBs at speeds of up to 725 fps and 755 fps respectively.

10-meter test

For the ten-meter test, after shot 5 times for every pump.

This rifle has a scope mounted. So now it’s easier to pump, because I don’t have to hold the rifle at the optimum place and can hold it farther away, which gives me more leverage.

It’s heavy, rugged, and will work well for years.

2100B Air Rifle

To hold the gun farther back, your hand has to move around farther to the back. This winds up being the pistol grip of the stock.

This is not the best leverage for pumping the rifle, but the 2100B is equipped with a short, easy stroke.

25-yard test

For this 25-yard test, after fired the rifle six times for every shot.

I wanted to get a feel for how fast the pellets fired and how accurately each pellet hit the target.

If you want to make sure that your bore is ready to go before you use it, this would tell you whether the shots were walking or if the bore needed to be seasoned with each new pellet.

So, after shooting each pellet, you should see which one is worth the effort to shoot a full 10-shot group.

The first pellet tried was the 7.9-grain Crosman Premier dome. The first five shots looked fine, but it was better to just keep shooting. After 10 shots the grouped pretty well, so I just kept going.

Ten shots landed in a group measuring 0.809 inches between centers. The shot is a little wider than it is tall, but you can see that 9 of the 10 shots are grouped around a round shape.

2100B Air Rifle

10 Crosman Premier lites didn’t do bad at 25 yards. Nine of them made a nice round group. In total group the center of the lens is 0.809 inches between the centers.

The results of the 10-meter test were much higher than expected. The best group size for a product in a size test is 10 (about half a point), because you’re going to see less movement in that

I think that shows how much better an optical sight is than an optical rangefinder. Shooting a multi-pump rifle can make you feel like it takes a lot longer, but it isn’t. To shoot a gun accurately it takes practice to become good at it.

The slower pace forces the shooter to concentrate more on what he’s doing. Single-shot guns are really fun. You can fire them at targets, and your skills come alive.

Wanted to try the new Superdome pellets from Redwood Shooting Supplies. They had a really good demo set up and I was able to get my hands on them. It’s a good round that I rarely shoot.

2100B Air Rifle

The bullets are made from pure lead, so they have a fairly thin skirt that takes well to the rifling. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that it performed very well in comparison to a Premier lite. I wanted to see how it would perform against some of the more expensive blends.

This group consists of 10 Superdomes that measure the same as the group of Premiers, which is 0.809 inches between centers. While the group may appear larger, there is no measurable difference between the measurements of the groups.

Pros – Nice Price

This is a great rifle to start with for young shooters. If you get this rifle at an early age, it will teach you valuable lessons about proper technique, trigger control, and gun safety. It also comes in a package that is easy to carry, store and transport. The best part is it is a good value for the price.

For the accurate, it is windage and elevation adjustments on the barrel the same as Legacy 1000 (awful). There is a nice weight. Nice way of handling it. This is comparable to other variable air pumps in the same price range.

Pro – Accurate

We would shoot squirrels in the head at 50+ yards, and let me tell you, it was an accurate air rifle. I recently purchased another one at an auction, and I was shocked to learn it had a leak.

2100B Air Rifle

Replaced the valve assembly, pump, and a couple of o-rings.It is now a shotgun with a RWS super dome. 5 shot groups in one hole at 25 yards. 50 yards and the holes are touching.

I put a new scope on my shotgun and this thing blew me away at 100 yards, even though it’s a pump action. I was shocked that a gun can hit so accurately at such a great distance. Even if you can’t put holes through holes at 10 feet, you still need to hit the ball more solidly.

Pro – Powerful

Unlike some other pumps this one comes with a metal receiver and that’s an amazing feature for children. It’s no longer a problem to get a hold of these guns.

I shot this particular example on a Crosman Competition Wadcutter, which has traditionally performed quite well for me. These guns use variable amounts of pressure to power them, which is a nice feature. This will allow my kids to pump them up for higher power when hunting and lower power when plinking cans or targets.

Cons

This rifle is built like a tank. It doesn’t matter if you have to break it down for transport. It’ll last. The Legacy 1000’s all-black color scheme is definitely nicer, but I’d love to have it on this rifle, too.

The receiver, trigger guard and trigger on the 2100 are made of metal (unlike the Legacy), giving me a much stronger impression of overall quality.

This rifle to replace Legacy 1000, but the Marauder maybe even better. It’s faster and more accurate.

Hatsan 125 Sniper Vortex Air Rifle with Shooting Tips #110

sniper

Hatsan 125 Sniper Vortex Air Rifle

Hatsan’s Model 125 Sniper Vortex QE Combo offers long range power and accuracy. Our top-of-the-line Mod 125 is a break barrel air rifle that offers better accuracy than our standard Mod 75.

The 12-gauge Magnum is one of the most popular air rifles in the market, and has seen steady growth over the last few years. This is the one for those who want the largest shot size with consistent performance and accuracy.

The Mod 125 Sniper Vortex QE has a black, ambidextrous synthetic stock with an upgraded Monte Carlo elevation adjustable cheek piece and raised soft rubber inlays on the grip and forearm for better control and an ergonomically comfortable feel.

The 125 Sniper Vortex QE series is equipped with Hatsan’s quiet energy technology, which includes a fully shrouded barrel, an integrated sound moderator to lessen down range noise, and the Vortex gas piston system.

The most common action of a lever-action rifle is to have it’s barrel locked and tilted back while the action is fired. This is how it functions with most rifles, regardless of design, and this makes it more reliable and durable.

The Mod 125 Sniper Vortex features a removable, extended muzzle brake for easy cocking. It also has a manual safety, an automatic cocking safety, and an anti bear trap safety.

125 sniper

The most advanced air rifle on the market, equipped with an Optima 3 9×32 multi coated scope, combination Weaver and 11mm dovetail scope rail, scope rings, sling swivels and a Hatsan sling, this air rifle can’t get much better and comes with a whole lot more!

The back is micro adjustable for both windage and elevation. This gun is a blast to shoot. With all the features, it’s easy to see why the Mod 125 Sniper Vortex QE is one of our most popular rifle combos.

Sniper Shooting Tips – Collect Data

I don’t know if you’ve ever done it, but you should take the time to collect data on your rifle and make sure you have it when you need it. You should always be able to recall the data you have collected and be able to look back at it for reference. It’s the best way to know what your gun will do when you pull the trigger.

125 sniper

Sniper Shooting Tips – Shoot Dirty

Snipers prefer to shoot dirty guns. We will not clean our rifles for 200 to 300 rounds. Then we will take them apart, clean them, and put them back together. If we can’t do that, we are doing something wrong. But what about cleaning the gun when you get home? There is a reason why we are so careful about cleaning our guns after every trip to the range. When we go to the range, we want to be able to hit a target. If we don’t have a clean rifle, it is very hard to hit the target.

Sniper Shooting Tips – Squeeze on the Pause

The respiratory pause is when your diaphragm contracts and your lungs fill with air, making you feel as if you’re about to breathe in. This is a natural pause for most people, but if you notice yourself holding your breath or not breathing at all, you can learn to use this pause as a money spot. When you squeeze on the pause, you are forcing your body to inhale, and then you release on the exhale.

Sniper Shooting Tips – Follow Through

Follow through means that once you shoot, you stay on target and don’t let go of the shot until you see it break. I am not talking about a “snap” or a “crack.” I am referring to a slow, steady squeeze to the rear until your shot breaks. If you do this, you will get better results.

Sniper Shooting Tips – Zero to a Higher Standard

We should expect more from our guns. If you’re shooting your rifle, you should be able to hit a target from 300 yards out with one shot.

125 sniper

Sniper Shooting Tips – Get Out of Sight

I’m not just talking about camouflage here. I’m talking about getting out of sight. I’ve been to war zones and seen what happens when there’s a sniper on the loose. The first thing the sniper will do is hide in the shadows. He’ll wait for someone to come into his line of sight. It’s this very same concept that you can use to your advantage. When you’re painting, you need to get out of sight.

Sniper Shooting Tips – Study The Wind

A sniper must be able to adjust his shot based on the wind direction and speed. If the wind is from the right, he has to shoot to the right of his target. If the wind is blowing from the left, he has to aim slightly left. The wind will also affect the trajectory of the bullet and the velocity it has when it leaves the barrel.

Sniper Shooting Tips – Know Your Bullet

Bullets come in different weights, so you have to know what weight bullet you’re using and how that will affect accuracy. For example, I wouldn’t recommend using an underpowered bullet like a.22 for my AR15.

Sniper Shooting Tips – Learn From The Kick

The kick of the gun tells you if you are using too much force when you squeeze the trigger. It also tells you if you are holding the gun properly. This is one of the reasons why a lot of people shoot themselves in the foot. They don’t use enough strength in the trigger finger.

Sniper Shooting Tips – Dial It Or Mil It

We use this term a lot in the shooting sports. In archery, it refers to the placement of the bow on the string. If you are aiming at a target that is 300 yards away, you would shoot the arrow at 300 yards. If you were aiming at a target that was closer, say 100 yards away, you would dial in a range that is 10 yards closer, or 100 yards.
